EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS–  Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
–  Diploma/Degree in Nursing/Qualification in Project Management

  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, and routine database activity Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Valid Code 08 Drivers licence is mandatory

Inherent requirements of the position:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HTS program management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders and clients
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and/or Zulu
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have good knowledge and understanding of HIV prevention, care and treatment, TB & STI services
  • Strong leadership, mentoring and people management skills
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Good understanding of the PEPFAR funded environment

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Stakeholder Management (build and maintain relationships between the prime partner, DOH & NGO’s)
  • Assist with the recruitment, training and management of CW staff
  • Contribute to the strategic plan of the district & sub-districts
  • Implementation of IQC and PT schemes
  • Asset Management & Inventory Management
  • Financial Management: district requirements; e.g. petty cash, fuel, etc.
  • Anticipate any operational challenges and potential solutions
  • Manage district teams’ achievements against set targets: i.e. by modality
  • Oversee and coordinate field mobilisation and HIV Testing Service (HTS) delivery within the specified sub-districts
  • Develop weekly workplans for the HTS teams as well as the index testing team as well as the implementation of them
  • Ensure the CareWorks Masibambane field team is managed in accordance with the programme plan and is following guidelines and protocols
  • Ensure that each team is delivering HTS services in line with CareWorks & PEPFAR programme requirements, understanding the difference between the targets set for general population testing and workplace testing
  • Update the HTS team on venue, targets and target population, daily
  • Quality Assure the HTS registers, Linkage Registers and Index Testing Registers, daily and ensure that they are submitted to the various facilities, daily
