PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To provide strategic support and leadership in overseeing and managing HR capabilities of WV in Mali-Mauritania & Niger by providing quality and efficient service and P&C tools to develop, promote a culture of learning and servant leadership. To enhance the capability of WV in the above-mentioned entities to develop and retain committed a high caliber of staff and to maintain an effective human resource function in accordance with WVI policies to support the achievement of Child Well-being outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizational Development:

  • Provide expertise in job and organizational design, job evaluation, organization culture and change management. Propose organizational structure that support the strategy.

Policy and Strategy:

  • Provide expert in crafting and interpreting HR related policies. Propose HR solutions to address business issues and challenges and provide direction to the leadership team in HR.

Performance Management & Capacity Building:

  • Provide expertise in performance management & capacity building. Be a leader in development a performance driven and accountability culture.

Employee Relations & Managing Diversity:

  • Provide direction and advise in employee relation, ensuring good practices and creation of a fair, professional and ethical work environment.

Leadership:

  • Be active in the leadership team and advise the leaders to have a good people leadership in the Hub.

Total Rewards:

  • All Hub NO are aligned to the organization total reward philosophy and ensure that compensation packages are competitive at all time.

Workforce Planning:

  • Proper workforce planning is available at all time to support management with people related information for budgeting and planning purpose.

HR Administration:

  • Administration of HR business processes is impeccable always within the Hub by insuring compliance to policies, HRIS system in place and good management of employee information including files.

Stewardship / Financial Management.

HR Systems and Technology.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology.
  • Leadership Development or any other related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years in Human Resources Management with at least 3 years in a Senior Management Role.
  • Fluent both in English and French.

Preferred:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge of local labor legislature.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player who is detail-oriented.
  • Ability to function in a cross cultural environment.
  • Having an experience within World Vision would be preferable.

Work Environment/Travel:

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 70% of the time.
