About the role

The Inclusive Markets Development Project Officer role is responsible for contributing to the development of Christian Aid policy, strategy, interventions, operational research and communication that make market systems across key value chains inclusive of small holder producers. The role entails delivering the following key results:

  • Inclusive markets systems analysis and design of interventions that address key bottlenecks in ways that benefit poor and marginalised communities.
  • Effective project management in liaison with partners ensuring quality control, accountability and compliance within the framework of Christian Aid policies and procedures
  • Evidence-based adaptation and documentation of the respective projects strategies and impact with successful representation of Christian Aid and the projects’ best interests to relevant stakeholders

About you

You exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset, are proactive and able to work with minimal supervision to deliver quality and excellence in related results outlined above. You will have experience in inclusive markets development, enterprise development or business development services. With line management from the Program Manager, you will model and promote in your role, the three key desired behaviours–self-leadership, teamwork and decisiveness. You will work with the wider team being accountable for your actions, recommendations and decisions in the context of Christian Aid’s vision of ending poverty.  You will also demonstrate adaptive programming with ability to translate thinking and decisions into results in a timely manner.
