Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Accounts Manager, the intern will provide support to the finance department. The role is responsible for entering data in OCS, maintain project financial data in the system, Payment preparation and filing support documents in the finance department.

Main roles and responsibilities

  • Enter payments requests in OCS on time.
  • Make all payments requests to suppliers on time.
  • Upload approved payments on banking platform and E-Wallet.
  • Scan and send payment requests to HQ on time according to schedule submitted by the treasury department.
  • Stamp all processed payments ‘PAID’.
  • File all support documents in an orderly manner.
  • Track monthly office petty cash expenditure and prepare petty cash reconciliation statements for sign off by the Accounts Manager.
  • Perform Bi-monthly Bank Reconciliations.
  • Monthly reconciliation of prepayments.
  • Duties as assigned from time to time by the Accounts Manager.

Requirements

This internship opportunity is open for individuals with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Part qualified ACCA II, ICAM II or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from a reputable institution.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • Computer Literate, especially in excel and accounting packages.
  • Ability to effectively work in a multicultural team environment.
  • Self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Location and Duration
