Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission Branch office of Meki (ECC-SDCOM) is a faith based Non-Governmental Organization having Social Development activities in the Vicariate of Meki. The Social Development activities are carried out under the Social and Development Commission Branch Office.
Ethiopian Catholic Church Social & Development Commission Branch Office of Meki needs to employ personnel on the following Job areas.
Purpose of the Position:
The Laboratory Technician, working under the supervision of the branch Meki Kidanmehert Pediatric Catholic Clinic Medical Director, is responsible of perform laboratory tests, such as blood count, biochemistry, electrolytes, GenXpert (HIV&TB), blood film, stool exams and RDT. He/she will ensure that the tests protocols are performed according to Oromia health bureau.
Key /Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with your medical coordinators daily if you have any problem or you want to communicate any proposal, suggestion.
- Follow clinic procedures for correctly perform the laboratory tests.
- Control and keep the medical equipment and furniture in good conditions.
- Perform the laboratory orders to ensure the appropriate reagents and material stock.
- Report and register all patient examinations.
Term of Employment: One-year contract with possibilities of extension
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Education:
- Laboratory Technician Diploma or Degree.
Experience:
- With Diploma al least two-year experience & with Degree at least one-year experience.
Competencies /Knowledge, Ability and Skill:
- Strong communicator with good presentation, written and organizational skills.
- Computer skills.
- Fluency in English, Amharic and afaan Oromoo knowledge’s required.
