An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our DRC Programme for an experienced Logistics professional to lead the Logistics function of our programme in North Kivu and Ituri.

The Logistics Manager has responsibility for the logistics functions across including supply chain, asset and vehicle management, estate management and procurement. The Logistics Manager ensures that relevant donor or organisational policies and procedures are complied with. They are also responsible for coordination with the Logistics Cluster, and work closely with the International Logistics Team based.

The successful applicant will have:

  • substantial experience in Logistics Management in an INGO overseas, preferably in a similar operating context.
  • Experience in supply chain, asset and vehicle management, estate management and procurement.
  • Knowledge of communications and technical equipment, and experience managing staff.
  • The ability to manage their own workload, work to strict time-frames and deal with complex issues.
  • Cross-cultural skills, strong written and communication skills and the ability to relate well to people.
  • Fluent in both English and French

George Hoffman headed up the fund.[In January 1969 Cliff Richard did two fundraising concerts for Tearfund at London's Royal Albert Hall.:29 He has served as the charity's Vice President and in 1999 served as its president.In 2009 Richard gave the proceeds of his first 50th anniversary concert in Wembley Arena to Tearfund.

Tearfund was registered as a charity on 6 March 1973.

Tearfund Ireland was launched as an independent charity in 2008 and now works closely with Tearfund UK as a sister organisation.
