The Badisa Children Foundation, is an independent entity that has been established as a funding vehicle to raise funds for child protection services rendered by Badisa.

Badisa Children Foundation seeks to appoint a Manager for the Huis de Kuilen programme, to be based in Cape Town.

Salary: Negotiable salary, as well as generous leave benefits

Report to: The Board of Control

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the home to ensure an optimal care service for the aged
  • Staff management and development
  • Draft and manage the home’s budget
  • Stock control
  • Quality assurance
  • Fundraise
  • Liaise with Badisa’s Head Office, residents, Board of Control, the community and unions
  • Administrative duties

Requirements:

  • A post-school qualification
  • Ability to lead, motivate a team, identify and resolve problem areas in good time
  • Knowledge of and experience in staff, financial management, labour legislation, fundraising and marketing
  • Computer literacy, Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in the management of a home for the aged, will be a strong recommendation
