Overview

The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries, while strengthening the capabilities of governments and the private sector in those countries to create and sustain high-quality health systems that can succeed without our assistance. For more information, please visit: http://www.clintonhealthaccess.org

Diagnostics is one of the leading priorities of the Access program within CHAI with the goal of improving access to high-quality diagnostic products. The Laboratory Services Team (LST) plays the lead role in coordinating work on access to diagnostics, working closely with diagnostics manufacturers, governments, and multilateral organizations to lower prices, scale up use of proven diagnostic tools and products that expand service delivery, and accelerate the entry and uptake of new innovative products for HIV, TB and HCV. LST can catalyze the market in an environment where funding streams are limited.

The Market Manager, Supply Side Strategy will shape the development of CHAI diagnostics supply side strategy and will lead its execution in focus countries. S/he will work with Ministries of Health, CHAI country teams and other in-country stakeholders across multiple focal countries, guide the work-planning and implementation phase, monitor progress, and report to LST senior leadership.

We are seeking a highly-motivated, entrepreneurial individual with outstanding project management, problem-solving ability and communication skills. The Market Manager, Supply Side Strategy must be able to function independently, and have a strong commitment to excellence. CHAI places great value on relevant personal qualities: resourcefulness, humility, responsibility, tenacity, independence, energy, and work ethic.

This is a challenging but rewarding role, which will have direct and near-term impact on thousands of patients in need of life-saving health services.

The position will require up to 50% travel. Preferred base location is one of our program countries within the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
