REQUIREMENTS
- University Degree in Medicine with further specialisation or equivalent title in Gynaecology and Obstetrics
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Previous professional experience in the field of EMOC services and obstetric emergencies in Africa
KEY DUTIES:
In her/his role of EMOC Consultant, will:
· Participate and contribute to the MoHS technical working group dealing with EmONC services and RH services
· Provide technical support for designing the relevant components of the programme assessments and the M&E framework
· Proactively participate in the Program Delivery Management Committee by liaising with MoHS and other IPs to enhance program effectiveness
· Provide clinical mentorship to the District Clinical Mentors on the national EmONC guidelines
· Provide technical guidance and advise to the blood bank specialists hired under the project
· Support the development, implementation and monitoring of the district planning process for EmONC services and ensure these plans are fully aligned to the national health policies and programs and tailored to local context and needs
· Support dissemination and application of the latest National EmONC guidelines and protocols of MoHS at the district level
· Support strengthening of existing quality assurance mechanisms of EmONC services
· Facilitate and support streamlining of data collection, analysis & dissemination of district EmONC data from various reports/studies/surveys
· Elaborate reports for donor and local health authorities
