ROLE PURPOSE:

To support the delivery of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) strategy, policy and practice by supporting the REALM staff in their recording, analysis and dissemination of CRM data, and coordinate CRM information management and reporting systems. The post holder will also support the REALM Officers in hiring and supervising enumerators, you will be responsibilities for proactive call data quality checks, the post holder will manage and follow up enumerator payments, you will also manage taps/smart phone for data collection.

Location: Hargeisa

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Support the delivery of effective Programmes, in both development and humanitarian contexts, by:

  • Manage Complaints/feedback and response mechanisms (CRM) and include systems that effectively manage complaints by consolidating complaints and feedback across Somaliland.
  • Receive and register complaints/feedbacks in complaint database of the assigned area. Makes sure that the complaints are logged in a professional and timely manner.
  • Follow up with project staff on feedback and actions taken on CRM cases through to completion and update the status of the cases accordingly.
  • Manage the toll-free line and help projects to manage and report on other mechanisms being used at project level.
  • Respond and communicate with the beneficiaries in a dignified manner regarding their complaints/feedback.
  • Provide support to projects to establish and implement accountability mechanisms and reporting by working closely with project field staff to ensure beneficiary (downward) accountability.
  • Produce monthly or quarterly reports on accountability including CRM, information sharing and beneficiary participation in projects.
  • Keep regular follow up of complaints and update complaint database on daily basis
  • Conduct field visit as required and prepare/share field visit report to the line manager.
  • Assist MEAL Officer/Research Coordinator in all MEAL/Research tasks including monitoring reports, assessments and studies
  • Support the sharing of learning related to M&E practices encouraging consideration of results both between and within sectoral teams,
  • Complying with and promoting all Save the Children Global policies such as Child Safeguarding, Whistle blowing, Fraud, and Health and Safety.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Basic understanding of M&E systems and/or accountability mechanisms in both humanitarian and developmental responses is an added value
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of other data analysis software such STATA, SPSS, etc, will be an added value
  • Willingness to improve planning, coordination, and reporting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work and travel in often difficult and insecure environments;
  • Commitment to Save the Children values
