Job Description

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of Samaritan’s Purse Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) activities in West Guji, including follow up visits, supervise filed data collection, entry, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in and lead field assessments and surveys in order to map areas requiring interventions
  • Collect and develop baseline data for each project site to justify intervention
  • Visit project sites to monitor progress and have discussions with community leaders
  • Conduct post intervention surveys, collect and collate reports from the field sites
  • Develop reports to capture both quantitative and qualitative outputs of the project
  • Develop post intervention summary reports for each site and compare with baseline data
  • Document best practices and collect stories about the project’s impact on the lives of the communities
  • Prepare and write internal activity report
  • With a generous and serving spirit perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Samaritan’s Purse

Job Requirements

Education / Experience Needed

  • BA Degree in project management/business management or in any relevant field
  • Minimum two years of experience related to the above duties and responsibilities
  • Experience working for an INGO preferred

Skills Required

  • English and Amharic are required; Local Language preferred
  • Excellent  communication and analytical skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability in data collection, data entry, and data management
  • Ability to work under little or no supervision
