This position will be within the framework of IFRC Country Office for Libya, based in Tunis, Tunisia.

Job purpose

The focus of this post is to provide a high level of administrative and programmatic support to ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of activities running under the Migration and Protection Programmes, targeting vulnerable people and at-risk groups in Libya.

Job duties and responsibilities

Information management and communication

  • Ensuring an efficient communication flow amongst the project team and the Libyan Red Crescent Society (LRCS) where relevant, arranging meetings, taking minutes, drafting replies to routine correspondence, dealing with enquiries, etc.
  • Developing regular updates on the Migration and Protection Programmes, to be disseminated across the team and with LRCS, highlighting areas of concern where relevant.
  • Coordinating or preparing briefing notes, operational updates, presentations, etc. as requested by the Regional Migration Delegate and the Protection Delegate.
  • Ensuring the effective management of information for all team members involved in implementation.
  • Translating and proof-reading documents in English and Arabic as required.

Financial management and administration

  • Maintaining a record of agreements and invoices, including a reporting schedule to ensure that reports are received from the LRCS in a timely manner.
  • Feeding into regular admin and finance updates of the budgets the Migration and Protection Programmes.

General administration

  • Assisting the Regional Migration Delegate and the Protection Delegate in the facilitation of meetings and presentations.
  • Supporting the organisation and facilitation of activities and events, and providing administrative support as required.
  • Organising and attending team meetings, 1-1 catch-ups, etc. as required.

Other

  • Upholding the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement.
