About the role

The post holder will assist the MEAL unit in regular data collections through implementing partners/volunteers and ensure quality of the data by random verifications and validation. S/he will record, manage and preserve monitoring and evaluation data in a safe and accessible way. Provide technical support on M&E and evidence-based recommendations to the relevant Program Officers and Partners. Support Program Officers and partners in conducting of field activities and adheres to CA’s monitoring and evaluation system. Participate actively in programme planning processes. The role holder will assist the MEAL unit in designing, coordinating and conducting project evaluations (baseline, mid-term and end-line). S/he will support the team in developing quarterly/annual organisational reports and work collaboratively with different programmes for strengthening, integration and cross-learning in programmes. The post holder will be based on Mongunu LGA of Borno State.

About you

You must have a degree in Statistics or any of the Social Sciences and a sound knowledge of office programmes including word, outlook, power point and excel. You are required to have at least three years experience working in an International Non-Governmental Organisation. Knowledge of relevant database systems and data management tools (such as KoboCollect, CS Pro, DHIS, NHMIS) is essential. The post holder is required to have experience using statistical software like SPSS, Epi-info; STATA. You are required to have experience of monitoring and evaluation, project/programme-cycle management approaches and tools – including participatory planning. You should understand reporting requirements of institutional donors such as Global Fund, EU, DFID and USAID. The post holder is expected to have excellent report writing skills and communication skill. Ability to Ability to produce quality reports, case studies and humanitarian briefs from analysis conducted on data sets and gathered qualitative information is essential.
