About the role

The MEL Officer will work closely with the Senior MEL Manager to support STAR-Ghana partners in  programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, capturing  learning and reporting. This role provides support in the development of high quality programmatic interventions, project monitoring and accompaniment to partner organisations, and thematic expertise in areas of accountability. The role will also provide data and analysis of results achieved within a portfolio of programme activities.

About you

You should show familiarity with programme cycle management approaches and tools – including participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation of development programmes, show an understanding of financial controls and procedures, have significant experience in international development, including an understanding of issues of governance, accountability and rights, direct experience of programme appraisal, monitoring and evaluation and of developing partners’ capacity, report writing skills and experience in workshop facilitation, training and network building
