Role overview
The Social Accountability Volunteer Specialist will lead technical aspects of the project of building the capacity and provide technical support to communities to affectively monitor and advocate for quality healthcare service delivery.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Skills in social accountability and governance
A minimum of a University degree in social sciences or Monitoring and evaluation
Ability to design monitoring mechanism from SIG and SA perspective.
Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitation, communication, and networking.
Ability to train government and non- government staff to design and implement social accountability strategies and action plans.
Excellent English and local languages and good in documentation
In-depth knowledge on current social accountability and inequity issues at policy and program levels in Swaziland
Good experience assessing individual capacity and conducting training for diverse target groups.
Allowance
All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country. VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.
