Small Projects Foundation (SPF) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that aims at achieving the development of individuals, families and communities who are committed to their own growth and development. SPF in partnership in Buffalo City Municipality and Amathole District in the Eastern Cape Province is implementing an OVC Programme in the Sub-Districts of Buffalo City Municipality, Amahlathi, Mbashe, Mnquma, Raymond Mhlaba Municipalities.

SPF seeks to appoint a Occupational Therapist to be based in Peddie, Eastern Cape.

Employment Type: The position is for 4 days a week with basic accommmodation on site.

Employment Type: 6 month contract with option to renew

Remuneration: Negotiable

The purpose of the position is to find a successful candidate that will be responsible for meeting the needs of beneficiaries through strategic and operational objectives.

Required:

  • Occupational Therapy qualifications
  • Active registeration with the OTASA/HPCSA
  • 2+ Y ears’ experience with severly disabled

Established in January 1988, SPF is a community development and training trust that operates under the governance of non-remunerated Board of Trustees. SPF is registered as a Trust, a Non Profit Foundation and as a Section 18A Company.

Small Projects Foundation works with a wide range of stakeholders provincially, nationally and internationally. These stakeholders comprise of non-governmental organisations, communities, community based organisations, development foundations and agencies, academic institutions, provincial and foreign governments, local municipalities and development practitioners.

In the 27 years of its operation, the Foundation has been involved in a variety of development ventures that have provided the Foundation with a platform to enhance its experience and expertise in development practice. The Foundation now specialises in the areas of project management, social marketing, development facilitation, training, innovative development, research and evaluations.
