Logistics and Training Coordination:

This position is based in Pretoria and provides support to the Managing Director/Deputy Chief of Party in the running of the Training Programme in the office and managing all logistics relating to the Medical Male Circumcision DSD and Training Programme across the country as well as the Pretoria office. The candidate will also liaise and collaborate closely with the rest of the training and project management teams (RT35 Project Manager, M&E and QA Manager, Deputy Chief of Party and Logistics Assistant) and the relevant Provincial and District Departments of Health and Implementing Partner Training Coordinators. S/he will ensure adherence to international and national standards/protocols as well establishing or monitor specific TB/HIV supply chain-based performance measurement systems.

Requirements include:

At postgraduate degree / Diploma in Project and Programme/Health Management or relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent. At least 5 years’ experience in similar position of a major donor-funded project. Computer literacy (i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Excel) compulsory. Accuracy, confidentiality and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and remain meticulous, friendly and courteous. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to liaise with a diversity of people at all levels. Ability to use initiative and remain flexible. A highly organised individual. Attention to detail. Ability to multitask. Good time management skills.

Logistics responsibilities include: 

The successful applicant will provide executive secretarial, general and administrative support to the MD Office and TB/HIV Project. S/he will be performing full administrative functions; these include (but are not limited to) diary management, arranging conference calls, setting up appointments, and meeting and greeting scheduled visitors to the office; Liaising extensive with external procurement suppliers, as well as other departments; Coordinating and processing of invoices; placing orders (stationery, coffee, etc.); Arranging and coordinating international and local travel, forex, accommodation for the staff; Arranging and coordinating ad hoc conference/meeting events; Handling other ad hoc administrative tasks as delegated; Contributing to building positive internal and external relation; Managing of courier services for staff; Coordinating and maintaining all meeting/training rooms

Training Coordinator responsibilities include: 

Mapping out training plans and schedules (outsourced or in-house) for TB/HIV training; Choosing appropriate training methods per case (instructor led Face-to-Face, virtual, simulated, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc); Marketing available training opportunities to Implementing Partners, Department of Health and GP networks providing necessary information.
