About the Position:

The Procurement Assistant is responsible for the management and administration of procurement cases on behalf of the procurement department in order to facilitate the smooth running of GOAL Ethiopia programme/operations. S/he is to ensure that orders for goods and services are processed promptly, good value for money is obtained and procurement cases are tracked according to the existing GOAL/Donor procurement guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Procurement management
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role with an International NGO
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in local language is a must.
  • Ability to work fast and accurately under intense pressure.
  • High level of honesty, commitment and expertise
  • Good inter-personnel skills
  • Fluent in spoken & written English
  • Report writing skills
  • Computer Skills, including proficiency in Email (Microsoft Outlook), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Produce regular update on PR received from Program and field offices
