Registered in 2004 and working closely with Government, ICL has over 14 years’ experience implementing evidence based adolescents and youth programs in over 345 institutions of learning (Primary, Secondary and Higher learning institutions) across 23 Counties in Kenya. I Choose Life – Africa is in the process of strengthening the design of intervention programs for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in various counties in Kenya.
We are seeking a program design consultant to guide the development of our technical design and complete a draft of the technical proposal.
Qualifications:
- A broad understanding of social protection and social development strategies effective for OVC in the Kenyan context
- At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of social service programmes involving OVCs
- Ability to use research and evaluations to develop evidence based interventions
- At least a Master’s level degree in Social Sciences
- Training and Experience in Child protection
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
Desired skills
- Experience and understanding of prevailing context in Kenya
- Skills in developing work-plans and budget.
- Experience developing and implementing USG funded programs
