PATH is an international organization that drives transformative innovation to save lives and improve health, especially among women and children. We accelerate innovation across five platforms—vaccines, drugs, diagnostics, devices, and system and service innovations—that harness our entrepreneurial insight, scientific and public health expertise, and passion for health equity. By mobilizing partners around the world, we take innovation to scale, working alongside countries primarily in Africa and Asia to tackle their greatest health needs. Together, we deliver measurable results that disrupt the cycle of poor health.

The Project Manager will be the lead technical expert for integration of community and clinical service delivery with a focus on improving results towards “90-90-90”. This includes strengthening linkages and coordination between social service and health workforces as well as strengthening bi-directional referral systems to improve both health/HIV and social service delivery. The Community Services & Linkage Manager will strengthen implementation of comprehensive, HIV-inclusive case management with a focus on improving pediatric HIV case identification; strengthening HIV prevention focus, linkage to HTS, care, and treatment; retention among both children and their caregivers; and violence prevention and response.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to develop capacity among community-level implementing agencies and other providers on key HIV/AIDS issues including: linkage to HIV/AIDS care and treatment, adherence, HIV prevention among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), and GBV prevention and response;
  • Provide technical assistance in the development of strategies to remove community- and facility-level barriers to access and use of HIV services;
  • Support gender-sensitive HIV policy programming and implementation;
  • Keep abreast of groundbreaking work in technical areas, disseminating new knowledge to program staff, and developing training and TA for staff, programs and partners;
  • Represent the program with USAID, other donors, host country institutions and other agencies as required;
  • Liaise regularly with partners to ensure that community approaches are linked with efforts to enhance the quality of services and develop new cadres of service providers.

Required Experience

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Management Social Work, or Business Administration with a focus on public health, social sciences, or related field;
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in technical and operational program management of large-scale complex development activities in developing countries;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in management of a PEPFAR-funded activity, including program planning, implementation, data use, monitoring and reporting;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and effectively coordinate with a range of stakeholders including government, community and other civil society organizations, and the private sector;
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of U.S. Government program management regulations; and
  • Demonstrated written, presentation, communication and organizational skills in English.

PATH envisions a world where innovation ensures that health is within reach for everyone.

We dare to believe that innovation can change the world

PATH is the leader in global health innovation. An international nonprofit organization, we save lives and improve health, especially among women and children.

Our commitment

PATH is driven by an unshakeable commitment to health equity and a bold belief in the power of innovation to improve health and save lives. For nearly 40 years, PATH has been a pioneer in translating bold ideas into breakthrough health solutions, with a focus on child survival, maternal and reproductive health, and infectious diseases.

Our expertise

PATH brings innovative solutions to bear wherever they are needed—in the laboratory or the factory, government halls or communities. We specialize in overcoming the barriers that can keep a bright idea from reaching widespread impact, especially those that arise in the middle of the journey of innovation. This is where promising projects often fail, during steps like testing and refining, gaining approvals, commercializing a product, and introducing new approaches. Through experience, creativity, and tenacity, we accelerate the pace at which innovations are transferred into the hands of the people who need them.

Our innovation platforms

PATH takes a multidimensional approach to solving health challenges. Our work spans five platforms, which we deploy strategically for greatest impact:

Vaccines to give children a healthy start in life.

Drugs to treat diseases more effectively and at lower cost.

Diagnostics to detect and track diseases.

Devices like household water filters and prefilled, nonreusable syringes.

And system and service innovations to ensure that all these tools reach the people who need them.

Our partnerships

PATH mobilizes cross-sector partnerships that radically extend our reach, making powerful tools and strategies accessible at a massive scale. We start with a country’s needs, partnering with government and civil-society institutions to develop and introduce health solutions that address the country’s highest priorities. Corporations, foundations, social entrepreneurs, individuals, as well as governments and multilateral institutions provide complementary strengths and capabilities.

Our impact

From devices like the vaccine vial monitor, which alerts health workers when a vaccine has been damaged by heat, to the newest science and strategies for eliminating malaria, our innovations have reached billions of people around the world.

By accelerating innovation, PATH and our partners are transforming the lives of the world’s most vulnerable women and children and helping to create thriving, self-reliant communities.
