Key Job Outcomes:
- Project Work Plans and Execution: Supports the execution of project work plans and recommend revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Enforces organizational standards. Ensures all project documentation is complete, current and stored appropriately.
- Partner Management: Coordinates and communicates regularly with internal and external partners around what is working, so any scale up activities can be considered and incorporated into work plans.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Coordinates logistics for evaluation partner’s (ICRW) baseline and endline survey and evaluation. Collects/records service delivery indicators and other indicators to track if the solutions are being used as intended. Collects information if the solutions are being modified or used differently during implementation and provide quality assurance, quality control. Documents adaptations through periodic focus groups, key informant interviews, observation. Assists in data collection for the (re)solve impact and process evaluations and the costing analysis.
- Financial, Resource, and Risk Management: Supports project staff to effectively procure and manage resources, following Pathfinder’s systems and processes. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Facilitates identification of issues and resolutions to mitigate risks.
- Communicates difficult/sensitive information in accurate and timely fashion.
- Project Meetings:Attends regular status meetings with project team and partners. Ensures multi-directional communication between the project and country teams and other relevant organizational team members.
- Donor Compliance:Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
Minimally Required Job-Specific Competencies:
- Country Specific Public Health System:Basic understanding of the countries’ public health systems.
- Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights: Basic knowledge of contraception and reproductive health principles and rights, practices and services, including program strategies and indicators, and the latest developments in the field.
- Program Operations and Development: Basic skills in implementing and managing global health program operations in the developing world.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Basic knowledge of and experience in data collection, research, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Behavioral science, behavioral economics: Basic knowledge of and experience in behavioral science, behavioral economics, and research and learning projects.
- Program and Project Planning and Management:Basic skills in program and project management and planning to fulfill performance objectives, including the timely implementation and reporting of donor-funded program activities.
- Operations and Financial Management: Basic knowledge of operations and financial management in developing countries.
- Change Leadership: Ability to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in managing change across a broad group of stakeholders in an inclusive manner. Must bring a problem-solving mindset to the project team.
- Community Relations:Basic skills in facilitating working relationships between project teams, partners, government officials, and communities.
Minimally Required Organizational Competencies:
- Software Applications:Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Advanced knowledge using communication technology interfaces (GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Twitter, WhatsApp)
- Languages: Proven writing and speaking skills using local language(s) and English.
- Passion for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights: Commitment to contraception, reproductive health services and rights, gender equality, maternal, and child health services.
- Self-Management and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as a member of the team, ability to thrive in a matrix organization, must be detailed-oriented, and ability to work, and manage stress effectively, in a fast-pace environment.
Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality on work related matters.
Minimally Required Education, Training and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, social science or related discipline.
- 4 years’ experience in working in international development, preferably in implementing programs in developing countries; or Master’s degree and 2 years relevant experience
- Prefer: Experience with Bill & Melinda Gates and/or USAID-funded projects
- Prefer: Experience in project design and evaluation
- Prefer: Understanding of program context, field realities, and technical needs in-country
