Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of Project Support Unit Coordinator, the successful candidate will provide technical support to project development and reporting in the Country Office (CO). S/he will support proposals developments and writing donor reports in coordination with relevant PMs, regional office and headquarters prior submission to the donor. S/he will also support documentary research and providing inputs to reports to regional office, HQ and UN forums.

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  1. Support the development of new projects by conducting documentary research and context analysis in line with IOM’s procedures and priorities.
  2. Support Project Managers in the preparation regular and timely preparation of donor reports, updates, programme summaries, and other relevant information materials and statistics according to specific project needs;
  3. Provide and consolidate inputs in view of developing responses, recommendations and approaches towards programmatic responses, in line with the Mission’s strategy.
  4. Support PSU Knowledge Management (KM) by ensuring that project documents, donor agreements and key correspondences are archived on IOM PSU Sharedrive as well as monitored through the regular update of the Project pipeline;
  5. Support of the preparation of presentations and other documents in line with IOM Corporate Policy in close coordination with the Chief of Mission, Program Support Coordinator, humanitarian and TRD focal points to support and improve the dissemination of advocacy materials in support of IOM programming.
  6. Contribute to the development and regular distribution of communications products based on IOM DRC operations and results.
  7. Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer and Programme Managers to assist in the overall integration of M&E outputs in existing and new projects.
  8. Support the mission in the promotion and visibility of IOM activities through the drafting, design, and disseminate a wide range of communication materials.

Education :

Completed Master’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations and/or Law from an accredited academic institution ; or University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience.

Languages :

Fluency in English and French is required

Experience :

Experience in project management, project development, institutional strengthening, capacity building related activities in a developing country and post-conflict context;

• Experience in project development and project management, humanitarian and migration-related activities, complex project implementation, budget drafting, research, report writing, liaison with governments and international agencies, reporting, fundraising and donor relations required;

• Experience with project planning, scheduling and deployment of resources, and evaluation and assessment;
