Programme Manager
We are seeking a dynamic Programme Manager to join our Programme Management team and support the delivery of long term technical assistance and short term consultancy assignments for a variety of clients for Kenya-based and Kenya-led programmes.
Responsibilities:
As Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient project management of long term technical assistance and short term consultancy assignments for a variety of clients for Kenya-based and Kenya-led programmes. You will work closely with other Options’ Team members in both the London and Kenya office to ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard and to support the development of the organisation as a whole.
You will report to the Senior Programme Manager, and will be based in Options’ offices in Nairobi, with some overseas travel, including to the London office, to work with the wider Programme Management Team and Options Departments as well as in-country Programme related travel when required.
Person specification:
You have experience of project management in international development and public health or similar sector. You have experience of building successful relationships with clients, collaborators and consultants, be confident in financial management and be able to manage multiple and competing priorities. A confident self-starter, you have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-moving and complex environment. It is essential that the successful candidate is fluent in Swahili and English: written, reading and verbal.
