For our office in Tunis, we seek to recruit a highly motivated and qualified individual as:

Programme Manager – Justice Sector Reform (100%)

Location: Tunis, Tunisia

Starting date: As soon as possible

Duration: 24 months, renewable

Your mission

The Programme Manager is responsible for implementing assistance projects related to justice sector reform in Tunisia and more particularly to detention reform and independent institutions.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Advance the implementation of the prison administration related projects, according to work plan and budget
  • Evaluate any evolving need and contribute to the design and planning of new projects
  • Develop logical frameworks, work plans, budgets and monitoring and evaluation frameworks
  • Organise workshops and training courses
  • Report regularly to DCAF, the relevant authorities and donors

Your profile

  • An advanced university degree
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in public sector reform or management, preferably within the fields of justice and prison administration
  • Proven track record in managing projects, preferably in the MENA region
  • Excellent command of French (written and spoken), very good command of English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset

What is DCAF? The Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces – DCAF – is an international foundation whose mission is to assist the international community in pursuing good governance and reform of the security sector. The Centre provides in‐country advisory support and practical assistance programmes, develops and promotes norms and standards, conducts tailored policy research, and identifies good practices and recommendations to promote democratic security sector governance. DCAF was established in 2000 on the initiative of the Swiss government.
