Program Officers, Neglected Tropical Diseases, (4)- Moroto

Save the Children International is currently recruiting for Program Officers- Neglected Tropical Diseases for the at our field Office in Moroto. The Program Officer(s) will ensure timely and cost-effective implementation of program activities, as well as monitoring activity implementation. The job holder will support the program coordinator on budgeting, documentation, partner relations, and reporting.

To be successful for this role, you will have/bring the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Public Health, Nursing, Environmental / Community Health, social sciences or related fields.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in disease control.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with multi-sectoral stakeholders and technical teams in health, nutrition, WASH, education, gender and other relevant sectors.
  • Experience as a program or field officer required.
  • Previous work experience in Karamoja and sound understanding of the Karamoja context will be an added advantage
  • Written and oral fluency in English, and local languages spoken in the district is a requirement**.**
  • Ability to ride a motorcycle will be an added advantage

We employ approximately 25,000 people across the globe and work on the ground in over 100 countries to help children affected by crises, or those that need better healthcare, education and protection. We also campaign and advocate at the highest levels to realize children’s rights and ensure their voices are heard. We are working towards 3 breakthroughs in how the world treats children by 2030:

  • No child dies from preventable causes before their 5th birthday
  • All children learn from a quality basic education and that,
  • Violence against children is no longer tolerated
