The Christian Rural and Urban Development Association of Nigeria (CRUDAN) is a Christian, non- profit, Non-Governmental Organisation. It is a membership organisation that has as its members – Churches, Christian Organisations, and individual Christians that are engaged or interested in development work in Nigeria.

CRUDAN operates in five (5) zones namely Central Zone with its zonal office in Jos, Northeast with its zonal office in Yola, Northwest with its zonal office in Kaduna, Southeast with its zonal office in Enugu, and Southwest with its zonal office in Ibadan.

CRUDAN is looking for a person to fill the vacant position in the Southwest zone as follows:

Job Title: Programme Officer, South West Zone.

Job Location: Ibadan.

Area of Coverage: Ekiti, Kwara, Kogi, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Oyo.

Eligibility: Only candidates from the listed States that make up the zone are eligible to apply, please.

The main purpose of the Job:

  1. To implement activities of CRUDAN at the zonal level and make CRUDAN visible to the church and other institutions, organizations-governmental and non-governmental, as well as adequately representing the CEO.
  2. The job holder will be responsible for developing and building the capacity of Member Organizations and Individuals within the zone.
  3. The job holder will also be required to support M & E roles within the CRUDAN portfolio and will coordinate the documentation, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and learning of all activities and reporting of same.
  4. The job holder will be required to work with the Zonal Committee to ensure regular meetings are held and decisions that will move the zone forward are taken

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Planning and design

a. Attends Management meetings, contributes to decision-making,
b. Assesses and analyses the training needs of Member Organisations and individual members by way of making visitations to such members within the zone.
c. Assists in building the capacity of Member Organisations through Counselling, Evaluations, Strategic Planning process, and the Organisational Development Process
d. Ensures that a Zonal Committee is formed of which he/she is a member and is active
e. Attends zonal committee meetings, and contributes to decision-making

Programme Implementation

a. Organises organisational and Zonal trainings and workshops, ensuring that physical arrangement, contacting resource persons, making training materials available, canvassing for participants, and setting up planning committees where necessary
b. Invites participants to national programmes when necessary
c. Judiciously manages funds (income and expenditure) and presents proper account of same to the Zonal Committee and Congress

Networking

  • a. Links up Member Organisations and individuals for the purpose of networking
  • b. Organises Zonal tours/visits to Member Organisations
  • c. Visits Churches, and other Non-Governmental Organisations who are not members with the view of making them CRUDAN members
  • d. Ensures that the Zonal Office is maintained and that facilities are functional
  • e. Liaises with Development and Training institutions, Research Institutions, Universities, Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies and other NGOs within the zone for the exchange of information, ideas, and experiences
  • f. Contributes to writing of articles for the newsletter

Documentation

a. Ensures that comprehensive reports of all trainings, workshops, and seminars are written in good time and forwarded to the Director of Programmes.
b. Submits monthly reports of activities to the Executive Director through the Director of Programmes

Reporting & Reviews and Evaluations

a) Compiles overall progress reports on the zonal activities
b) Reviews and report feedbacks, reviews and coordination meetings and reports in line with CRUDAN standard guidelines and reporting tools
c) Provides relevant updates and feedback to the Executive Director
