POSITION: PROJECT ASSISTANT
DEPARTMENT: PROGRAMS
REPORTS TO: CENTER COORDINATOR
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- mapping and cooperation with other organizations working with youth, women and GBV” and “assist with market assessment and linkages with potential employers
- Contribute to the identification of Youth and ensure proper documentation
- Assist the Center Coordinator in the overall implementation of the project;
- Assist the Center Coordinator in overseeing at the Youth Center
- Manage the Youth Mobilizer Volunteers and give a report to the Center Coordinator on a weekly basis
- Assist the Center Coordinator in convening and reporting periodically on the status of the project to the Project Manager
- Assist the Center Coordinator in monitoring the progress of the project;
- Assist the Center Coordinator in monitoring of the procurement of equipment needed for training, mapping and monitoring;
- Assist the Field M&E Officer in the preparation of the M&E system for project implementation and impact/benefit assessment;
- Assist the Center Coordinator in the preparation of the project completion report;
- Perform other duties of similar nature assigned by the Country Manager
Job Specification
Academic
- Diploma required, preferably in International Relations, social studies, or related field.
- Experience in GBV/protection interventions
- Knowledge of community mobilization and facilitation techniques
Experience
· 2 years in similar position
· Experience working in Conflict/Post Conflict Environments
· Excellent Writing Skills
· Fluent English and conversational Somali required
· Strong Networking skills

· Good organizational skills
· Good time management skills
· Strong communication skills, including ability to lead and manage remote
· Ability to work in harsh conditions
