Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with DTM Focal Persons (FPs) towards ensuring completeness and accuracy of collected data
  2. Ensure all DTM forms and other relevant information handed over by the enumerators/regional focal persons is properly collected, entered and archived in an organized and indexed manner.
  3. Verify the information and accuracy of the data in the physical forms/questionnaire and clean it before processing it into DTM’s database system.
  4. Supervise and carry out routine monitoring mechanisms to track individual data entry staff performances and send out daily data entry/cleaning update to the DTM team.
  5. In coordination with the National Database and Information Management Officer and DTM focal persons, train newly hired enumerators on basics of DTM mobile data collection at the beginning of every round data collection, as required
  6. Liaise with DTM FPs in collecting Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) information every week and share a summary report internally after data entry
  7. Work closely with data entry clerks to clean DTM forms/dataset by reconciling information with previous rounds and report back to the IM Assistant for amendment.
  8. Ensure cleaned data is transferred in due time to IM Assistant for amendment.
  9. Assist in Translation requirements.
  10. Identify data entry/cleaning gaps and offer solutions – Support the development of DTM data entry teams.
  11. Collect important documents to be stored on the server from EPC colleagues and document it on the server in an orderly and organized manner.
  12. Respect IOM’s Data Protection Principles.
  13. Perform other duties as they might be assigned.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

     

  • University Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT
  • or related field, or a combination of training and relevant working experience
  • Computer knowledge use including Microsoft and ability to use internet and email;
  • Familiarity with mobile data collection technologies is an advantage

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of Five years experience (or three years for candidates holding Diploma certificates)
  • Work experience in DTM is an advantage
  • Good writing, communication and negotiation skills
  • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results; capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
