Job Title: Project Coordinator

Locations: Ogun (Abeokuta) and Niger (Minna)
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • The Project Coordinator (PC) is a keyactorin the implementation of projects in theorganisation’s portfolio. The PC will manage day-to-day activities of the project and Coordinate the Project Officerin their Academy.
  • The PC will be responsible for Coordinating project activities, project budget as well as coordinating with external stakeholders for smooth implementation of the project.
  • The PC will represent the organisation in meetings with donor, government officials and other relevant institutions within their states.

Roles and Responsibilities
Project Management:

  • Coordinate and facilitate the technical development of projects
  • Develop proposals, grants and project modalities in view of promoting and expanding the activities in the framework of the project
  • Prepare and implement work plans and operation plans for various elements/ components of assigned projects
  • Estimate, track, manage, and report on project schedules and impact.
  • Implement the project activities in close coordination with project participants
  • Spearhead the preparation of training materials and manuals and conduct necessary training and workshops at different levels as and when required
  • Undertake regular visits to the field to understand the ground situation and take necessary actions for improvement in quality of community mobilisation.
  • Regularly evaluate and monitor the performance and learning of the project beneficiaries
  • Effectively manage meetings within the Academy, and collaborate with project team members, cross-functional teams, partners and management to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Provide regular feedback on workflow processes, and project performance to management
  • Assist the manager in preparing project budget and inform manager of any under or over spending of budget

Academy Coordination:

  • Assist Line manager in providing training and support to new hires and subordinates within the Academy.
  • Direct and monitor the work of the project officer in the Academy.
  • Develop and manage detailed training curriculum, scheduling and evaluation
  • Implement the training on digital literacy
  • Implement Data Sciencetraining.
  • Recruit project beneficiaries
  • Manage the mentoring and internship aspects of the project
  • Coordinate the trainers and manage training calendar
  • Coordinate all academy events outside the training
  • Liaise with collaborating organisations

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum of a year experience working as a coordinator.
  • Grant writing skills is an added advantage.
  • Data science skills using Python.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Experience using Microsoft office packages.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Must beinitiative driven.
  • Excellent Communication skills both written and oral.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Team-management and leadership skills
  • Documentmanagement.
  • Attention to details even under pressure
