In Uganda, we implement programmes in five thematic programme areas of Child Protection, Child Rights Governance, Education, Child Poverty, Health and Nutrition in Development and Emergency contexts. Save the Children delivers programs in over 36 districts in the North, Rwenzori, North-Eastern, West Nile and Central regions of Uganda. We save children’s lives. We fight for their rights. We help them fulfil their potential.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the implementation of Child Protection Programme activities in SCI emergence locations, mentoring and coaching staff and to represent and advocate for Save the Children’s work and organizational priorities in child protection with a wide range of external parties including Government (OPM), communities, donors during field visits, and other humanitarian agencies operating in the area. The incumbent will be expected to provide leadership and guidance to the project implementing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is consistently dissatisfied with the status quo, but enough of a realist to understand when to drive for change and when not to; to help ensure positive and lasting change in the lives of the most marginalized and vulnerable children.

In order to be successful you will bring or have:
* Minimum of a Degree in Education specializing in Early Childhood Development/ Education Additional or post graduate qualification in Public health or community health is an added advantage.

Essential
* At least 3 years’ progressive working experience in planning and implementing Education programmes with INGOs.
* Having at least two years of teaching experience in primary schools.
* Must be willing to be based in the field.
* Experience of working with the Local Government and local partners with focus on improving the learning environments is an added advantage.
