Responsibilities & Duties:
Ensure the implementation of the ERC – UNICEF project in accordance with approved plans and budgets, including assessments, activity delivery, monitoring, financial controlling and reporting.
Produce adequate monitoring and project progress reports according to ERC and donor requirements and provide ad hoc reports upon request of your line manager.
Supervise, guide and support the local project team and facilitate knowledge sharing within the ERC HQ.
Facilitate the coordination with all relevant project partners/stakeholders (ERC, UNICEF and local authorities).
Upon request, support the ERC – UNICEF Project supervisor in ERC – HQ in the preparation of project proposals, and other activities of the ERC Field Office in North Sinai (media/press activities; reporting).
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the management of relief and/or recovery programs and development cooperation projects.
University degree in a relevant field;
Working experience with the Red Cross / Crescent Movement – preferred.
Strong project management skills, particularly PCM and participatory methods and profound knowledge and proven experience in M&E, incl. reporting;
Technical skills in the following sectors: Education, Health and Child protection.
Sound financial management, controlling and monitoring skills;
Knowledge of Red Cross / Red Crescent principles with willingness to adhere to them.
Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
Demonstrate experience with different donors’ compliance and reporting.
Experience of training and capacity building.
Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Arabic is an asset.
Job Location: North Sinai – Egypt
Contract duration: 12 months with possibility of extension
