Christian Aid is now looking to recruit a Project Officer Youth and Gender to support our development and humanitarian work in Burundi and across Africa.
About the role
The role manages the EU TWITEHO AMAGARA project in Burundi in line with the project documents in the province of Rutana within a policy framework agreed with the Country Manager.
The role holders will engage institutional donors particularly EU, communications and fundraising teams and ensure a strong link exists between our programme and advocacy.
Project Officer Youth and Gender must be able to effectively communicate Christian Aid ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that serves as an example to others. This is a five-year three-term contract subject to the performance of the occupant.
About you
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in gender, social sciences and related field, with good knowledge and expertise in program management, working with institutional donors, which includes European Union / ECHO, (or other major intuitional donors) funded programs. They should have 2 years’ experience implementing an emergency response plan project/ program or project or other components of community health led production. He/she should strengthen the relations between CA and the donor and World Vision Burundi. The role also requires fluency in French and English.
