Under general guidance of the Program Manager CS and under the direct supervision of the Reporting and M&E Officer CS, and in close coordination with the media and public information specialists in the Libya Office in Tunis, the CS Public Information assistant will be responsible in supporting the unit in implementation of internal and external communication and media related activities for IOM CS in Libya. Role objectives
Prepare activity reports and media reports on CS field activities.
Support CS staff in the field with media, public information, event management, and visibility for IOM, CS and its donors.
Support and coordinate with CS photographers on timely and engaging input of photographs and videos in line with IOM templates.
Provide content and other information inputs in relation to the visibility of IOM, its donors, and CS work in Libya.
Draft and edit public information and reports, including press releases, videos, and feature stories to the CS unit.
Support in the editing and graphic visualization of donor communication, including brochures and activity reports.
Generate regular, timely and engaging CS content to update communication platforms, including social media.
Contribute to the inclusion of appropriate gender awareness in all IOM Libya communications.
Coordinate with field teams on required branding material and support in the design of tailor-made branding material in line with IOM standards and guidelines.
Participate in key events and workshops by CS and implementing partners to acquire material, including photographs, videos and stories of work being undertaken by the field.
Monitor local media and bring to management attention any publication concerning migration and the work of the field offices.
Review and communicate specific information in Arabic and English.
