Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission Branch office of Meki (ECC-SDCOM) is a faith based Non-Governmental Organization having Social Development activities in the Vicariate of Meki. The Social Development activities are carried out under the Social and Development Commission Branch Office.

 Ethiopian Catholic Church Social & Development Commission Branch Office of Meki needs to employ personnel on the project Let Children Have Home.

Purpose of the Position:

The Purchaser, working under the supervision of the Let Children Have Home Project Manager, is responsible of buy all products that the project need, and ensure the best deals comparing qualities and prices.

 Key /Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts.
  • Maintains proper filling of purchase request and other relevant vouchers for the purchasing process.
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.

Term of Employment: One-year contract with possibilities of extension

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

. Education 

  • Diploma in purchasing & material management or similar.

  Experience:

  • At least four-year’s experience.

 Competencies /Knowledge, Ability and Skill

  • Strong communicator with good presentation, written and organizational skills.
  • Great Computer skills and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English, Amharic and afaan Oromo knowledge’s required.
