Job Description

The role of the Regional Director is to work alongside OneWorld Health Uganda staff in achievement of strategic goals and objectives. Specifically, the Regional Director serves as a liaison between OneWorld Health Uganda and OneWorld Health International through direct project oversight and reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an organization that is rapidly growing and re-defining sustainable, quality health care in developing countries.
This job will give you the opportunity to:
- Work alongside VP of Field Operations to maintain and implement Ugandan strategic plan and business model
- Work alongside Project Administrators and Coordinators in Uganda to identify long- term goals, develop staff capacities, and create strategies for growth
- Provide support and supervision to local staff
- Oversee development of new facilities and provide support to local staff throughout implementation
- Act as a liaison between OneWorld Health International Executive Leadership and OneWorld Health Uganda
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to HQ
- Develop and manage budgets in coordination with project level staff
- Prepare grant reports and proposals
- Manage relationships/partnerships with other NGOs, government officials and local partners
- Manage and implement capacity building strategies for local staff across all project locations

To be considered for this position you must have:
- 4 Year Bachelor Degree in International Development, Business, Project Management, or related field
- Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred
- Proven project management experience in East Africa
- Availability to travel 4-5 days per month within Uganda
