As Regional WASH Director, West Africa will lead and support the West Africa Region (WAR) WASH teams in the national offices, collaborate with other WARO technical functions and network with relevant external partners to effectively implement defined WASH strategies for the region for the well-being of vulnerable children in the region.
Requirements include:
- The position requires a Master’s Degree in hydrogeology, hydrology, Hydraulics, sanitation & Hygiene engineering or related field.
- Expertise in developing strategy, fundraising and cross sectoral integration.
- Multi-sectoral/integrated program design and implementation.
- At least 10 years relevant experience in WASH programming in developing countries.
- Experience in working in a complex political and operational environment/fragile context is preferred.
- Fluent both in English and French.
- The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
