CTG support and manage humanitarian projects in fragile and conflict-affected countries around the world. With past performance in 15 countries – from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and Central and South America – we offer a holistic fabric of project management, implementation and support. Skilled in emergency response to crises such as the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, we have the ability to act quickly (crisis response teams can be on the ground in 24 hours) and to establish structured operations in high-risk environments. Role objectives
The Security guard is expected to secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Obtains help by sounding alarms. Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
Expected output:
- Maintain orderly incoming and outgoing traffic of persons or individuals
- Keep a record of all individuals coming and going from the office including client staff and those from participating or partner organizations
- Ensure that food and non-food items stored are kept within acceptable storage conditions
- Ensure that no assets within the client’s offices are taken out of the client premises without prior authorization or documentation from the logistics coordinator.
- Inform his direct supervisor in a timely manner of any incident that may affect the security and safety of the staff and beneficiaries.
- Follow Client security procedures and protocols
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within client and amongst beneficiaries served by the client
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Controls traffic by directing drivers.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.

Security Team Leader Key competenciesEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Security Studies, Law Enforcementor certified graduation from military/police academy.
Work experience:
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable relevant Security experience and/or minimum of 3 years of demonstrable relevant security experience.
Geographical experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Africa (essential).
Languages:
Fluency in Arabic

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years’ experience in the rank of NCO and above in the armed/police forces with at least 2 years relevant experience with an international organization;
Good political, security and social knowledge of the country;
Computer literacy with a high degree of proficiency in commonly used applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required;
The ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with others with diverse professional backgrounds is required.
The ability to handle a heavy workload efficiently with minimal supervision and understanding the importance of close teamwork is highly regarded.
In security/emergency services dedication to one’s duty is paramount and flexibility and commitment to these duties in an emergency will be expected and appreciated;
Training in emergency and disaster response is an added advantage;
Knowledge of the UN radio system and the use of its related equipment.Team management
