About the role

The role holder will support the Country Director in the management of security for all Christian Aid Operations in DRC. The post holder will have robust and up to date Country Security Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Contingency, and Incident Management planning. S/He will conduct regular sound risk analyses at set intervals and with evolutions in the context of sound project-specific risk analyses, including field-level security assessments, day to day management of the safety and security of staff, including security advisories and recommendations. They will conduct robust staff capacity strengthening and security training plans. Safe Keeping and regular maintenance of security and contingency equipment, tools and supplies.

About you

You can enforce Safety & Security policies and Standard Operating Procedures, you possess the ability to conduct socio-economic, political and security analyses, taking into account various and complex variables.
You have knowledge of NGOs security management strategies and practices. You can establish and maintain effective relationships and INSO, UNDSS, OCHA, Act Alliance, MONUSCO, Police, Immigration, Customs, Other NGOs, community and Provincial Authorities, Other Security Stakeholders.

You must have a university degree in a relevant field.
Knowledge of communications systems and ICT
Previous similar professional experience in a Government institution and/or an NGO. The role also requires fluency in French, English, Fluent in the local language. Practical skills in Mechanic, electricity & IT Familiar with travel systems and field operations.
