Ethiopian National Association of the Blind (ENAB) is the first Organization is the first organization for Peoples with disabilities in Ethiopia. It works more than 62 years since its establishment. EAB is currently looking for competent individuals to fill 3 vacant posts

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Ensure that planned activities are carried out in line with the approved annual plan and budget;
  • Process payments which involve ensuring all payments are adequately supported by appropriate documentation;
  • Ensure that all unused official documents and vouchers of the organization are properly registered and are available in sufficient quantity;
  • Verify and ensure the required documentation and authorization is presented before effecting payments and encoding data into the system;
  • Ensure that the necessary format and documentation is used before and after payment is effected;
  • Ensure all suppliers invoices and bills are paid on a timely basis;
  • Enter all financial data into the computer/accounting system;
  • Prepare journal entries for, transfers, correction and adjustments;
  • Reconcile bank statements with books of accounts;
  • Compile quarterly, biannual and annual tabular financial and narrative reports;
  • In collaboration with program team ensure that all grants are administered in accordance to the terms and conditions of donors;
  • Ensure the compliance of grants with ENAB’s policies and procedures and donor agreements;
  • Compile regular status, progress and final reports in accordance with donor reporting requirements and other stakeholders;
  • Manage the budget of the association in accordance with cash flow plans and conduct cashflow analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: – MA/BA Degree in accounting or related.
  • Experience: – 4/6 years’ experience for MA and BA respectively

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Well organized and ability to act in a professional and ethical manner;
  • Competency in computer applications;
  • Knowledge of accounting software.
