Krugersdorp Child Welfare is a registered welfare organisation that renders statutory services and community development projects in Krugersdorp and Munsieville. The Organisations services promote the welling being and the protection of children.
Krugersdorp Child Welfare seeks to appoint a Social Worker to be based in Gauteng.
This is a full-time position
Responsibilities:
- Render early intervention services
- Statutory services (Opening and finalising Children’s Court cases)
- Attend to intake cases and enquiries as well as making a recommendation for further intervention or referring to relevant services providers
- Recruit, screen and train prospective temporary and foster care parents
- Render foster care supervision services
- Implement child protection and parenting programmes
- Write reports
Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Social Work (four-year degree). Experience will be an advantage
- Registered with SACSSP. Proof to be provided
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and driving competence. Driving skills to be tested during the interview
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English. (Speak, read, write and understand)
- Report writing skills
- Competence in all social work methods
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and internet) Computer skills to be tested during the interview
- Ability to work under pressure
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
