Stakeholders Engagement Facilitator

Job Summary: The consultant will be engaged to co-facilitate the stakeholders’ meetings and workshop for their buy in and making policy decisions on institutionalizing the innovations by Gates grantees in Gombe state.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The consultant will support the engagement of stakeholders. The stakeholders include the top government officials, members of state assembly, personal aids of the Governor, and wives of influencers, traditional rulers and high-level women. The stakeholders are expected to develop MNC strategy document, dictate certain policy decisions that will result in government commitment to funding some of the innovations implemented by Gate’s grantees in Gombe. To achieve this there is the need to get certain individuals is familiar to the stakeholders and with excellent facilitation skills to be engaged as a consultant.

The consultant will be engaged to co-facilitate the stakeholders’ meetings and workshop for their buy in and making policy decisions on institutionalizing the innovations by Gates grantees in Gombe state.

Deliverables

  • Draw up workplan based on outlined deliverables.
  • Work with SAQIP team to develop meeting and workshop agenda
  • Co facilitations of stakeholders’ meetings and workshop
  • Desk review of Gombe MNCH strategy
  • Meeting with top government officials
  • Meeting with Gombe State Assembly.
  • Meeting with wives of top stakeholders
  • Meeting with Gombe Emirate Council
  • Submit summary reports of key activities accomplished

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in business management or related field.
  • Evidence of excellent Facilitation skills
  • Excellent report writing
  • Good understanding of Maternal and Newborn Health in North East Nigeria
  • Must be fluent in English and Hausa
  • Most be familiar with Gombe State (Show evidence) Most show evidence of working with a Development Partner in Nigeria
