CALL FOR TENDER PROPOSALS

The Swiss Confederation, represented by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), represented by the Embassy of Switzerland in Nairobi, Kenya, intends to procure the services of a Technical Advisor for its project Strengthening Livestock Sector in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) Counties, Kenya from 2019-2021.

The Technical Advisor will support the project implementation to help achieve its objectives and provide institutional capacity building support to FCDC. While collaborating with the public sector, bringing together different stakeholders and coaching government departments, he/she will provide technical support (in livestock production, institutional development, governance etc.), so as to have the right capacities to improve pastoralists’ access to knowledge and livestock production and enhance policy frameworks for livestock production through advocacy and policy implementation. The Technical Advisor will apply facilitating approach and progressively empower with the aim of phasing out the backstopping mandate.
