Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Details: The purpose of this role is to plan, develop and coordinate volunteer support to the PEP initiative activities, inclusive of Host/Mentor and Recreation options in collaboration with other staff.
It is responsible for:
- Recruiting and engaging volunteers, appropriately matching them to the individual needs of the Host/Mentor program or other PEP activities
- Promoting the value of volunteering through media, networking and volunteer resource centers
- Maintaining documentation including case notes, client files and safety checks
- Providing support to volunteers and families, including training, complaint resolution and monitoring of ongoing Host/Mentor matches
- Monitoring expenditure and maintaining financial records for volunteer programs.
- Providing support to and working collaboratively with the People & Culture team
- Supporting the organisations Mission, Vision and Guiding Principles.
Skills and experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Demonstrable skills and experience in coordinating volunteers
- Tertiary qualification
- This role requires some local and international travel, you should be willing to travel.
- Passion for inclusion, person centered practices and friendly approachable persona
- Ability to network
- High level communication skills and computer literacy
- The Stipend is very attractive
