Volunteer Travel Uganda with Beacon of Hope Uganda 1908 views0 applications

Taking in the sights, taking pictures, taking a bus, taking your time … no wonder they call it taking a vacation. Instead of always taking something away when you travel, why not give something back? There’s no better
cultural immersion than to earn respect by working side by side with locals. The options are endless; pick one you’re passionate about and leave the land, animals or people better off than before you arrived. The bonus is you may find
you take away more from your travel than ever before. You’d like to combine sightseeing with the chance to roll up
your sleeves, you’d like to volunteer in Uganda but don’t have more than a few days or weeks, you want to make a difference and give something back you want to see and experience something different without missing out on the
highlights, then you should check out what our Voluntours has to offer.

While Ugandan travel brings wonderful experiences, our Voluntours work with local communities allows you to give something back to the places you visit. Not only are these great way to scratch below the ‘tourism surface’, but you’ll
also make a real difference to communities at grassroots, and we’re sure you will make some special friends at the same time. Volunteering in Uganda with Beacon of Hope Uganda can be extremely rewarding, but it isn’t all hard work, as these volunteer tours are combined with seeing some of Uganda’s awesome sights.

Experience the color and culture of Uganda on this unique 30-day volunteer adventure tour. Soak in the hospitality of Ugandans before exploring its beauty. Embark on wildlife safaris across national parks and explore several
culture and tourism sites. Gain a unique perspective on local culture while volunteering with community projects that help bring education to the local people. Give a little of your time to Uganda and take away a truly immersive
experience that few travelers encounter. Beacon of Hope Uganda Volunteers and Interns are typically
enthusiastic, hard-working, self-motivated and proactive people who are able to work under their own initiative and as part of a team.

They do not replace or take jobs away from local Ugandans – they assist them with the various projects running in the area around Mukono and other districts where we work.

Beacon of Hope Uganda volunteers are also realists – they know they won’tMchange Uganda, but they hope they will make a difference to the lives of some of the local people. If this describes you, then we’d welcome an application
from you.

"Ssamba Foundation is a registered non-profit community development organization founded by Hon. Isaac Ssamba in Mukono, Uganda. Operating in Mukono district, we have managed a wide range of sustainable development and humanitarian projects since 2006.
Hon. Ssamba’s mission of helping those least able to help themselves started at the age of 14 and at the age of 19, he established a non-government organization which designs and conducts programs which contribute to the welfare and social productivity of disadvantaged individuals and communities with an emphasis on children, youth and women.
Ssamba Foundation addresses some of the most pervasive problems in rural Uganda, including poor healthcare systems, hunger, poor education system, access to clean drinking water, environment degradation and extreme poverty.
In addition, the foundation focuses on empowering the youth of Uganda through leadership and skills training.  The organization is founded on the principles that our common humanity is more important than our individual differences.  We therefore operate on a non-political, non-denominational, and non-sectarian basis, welcoming each and every Ugandan in need.
The focus of our programs is on providing resources for quality social services delivery in under-resourced communities of Uganda.  In order to uplift the youngest of our society however, it is often necessary to first assist adults and the communities in which they live. Ssamba Foundation is committed to our headquarters district of Mukono, Uganda. The foundation is committed to making an impact in Mukono through Strategic Community Investments by supporting causes that strengthen community development focus.
