Tetra Tech International Development Services headquartered in Arlington, VA, (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev), is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Office Manager/Human Resources candidates for the USAID-funded Egypt Integrated Water Solution Support Technical Assistance Activity (IWSSTA).

The purpose of the Integrated Water Solution Support Technical Assistance (IWSSTA) activity is to support the recent reform efforts by the Government of Egypt (GOE) to help promote sustainability of the Water and Wastewater Sector.

Tetra Tech is recruiting for two positions, one to be based in Cairo and one to be based in Upper Egypt.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for day-to-day management of the IWSSTA office, ensuring orderliness of office, establish work relationship with service providers;

* Establish and maintain effective office information management systems including files, hardware, software, and technical support;

* Develop, maintain and report on property inventory and management;

* Serve as primary liaison with office and leased residences landlords and management of lease agreements and maintenance needs;

* Establish and maintain effective personnel management records and files;

* Manage recruitment process and obtain necessary approvals in accordance to Egyptian Government, Tetra Tech and USAID procedures;

* Supervise and ensure the maintenance of work and leave, records;

* Maintain and coordinate staff evaluation schedules with appropriate supervisors;

* Develop and maintain office policy and procedural manuals for all staff;

* Prepare, implement and evaluate compensation, benefit and allowance system;

* Participate in interviews and maintain recruitment records;

* Prepare contracts for Tetra Tech’s employees, consultants and short-term assistants.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree from a recognized institution;

* 5 years of experience in management of medium-size (10-30 persons) project offices for donor funded programs;

* Spoken and written fluency in English preferred;

* Egyptian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Tetra Tech is helping to improve the capacity of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) to increase the practical knowledge of vulnerable Iraqis of their rights, responsibilities, and remedies under the law. The program aims to increase the competence and availability of legal professionals assisting vulnerable populations, and to improve government processes to facilitate access to government services and legal remedies. The program has a particular emphasis on improving access to justice for women and youth.

We are managing an $8.25 million grants program that provides funds to Iraqi NGOs, law schools, and bar associations operating in 13 of the 18 Iraqi provinces. The program has disseminated more than 60,000 public awareness materials, supported 4,842 legal cases on behalf of vulnerable Iraqis, established 30 grassroots legal clinics, and provided more than 32,000 person-days of education to vulnerable Iraqis on their legal rights; more than 75 percent of participants have been women.

In addition, five universities have launched legal clinic practicum courses and have established law school legal clinics providing legal services to vulnerable Iraqis.
