HEKS is the charitable organization of the Protestant Churches of Switzerland. With his projects at home and abroad, HEKS is committed to a more humane, fairer world and a life of dignity. HEKS focuses on the development of rural communities, humanitarian aid and ecclesial cooperation. In Switzerland, HEKS is committed to the rights and integration of refugees and socially disadvantaged people. Since 2004 HEKS is a foundation. The supreme body is the Board of Trustees. The relief agency employs over 400 permanent staff in Switzerland and abroad. Over 600 other people work in the hourly wage, about 360 people volunteer.
