- Coffey, in partnership with McKinsey is looking for a Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist for the Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (NIAF III)

The Programme
NIAF III is a four year DFID-funded programme starting in 2018. Building on the success of the two earlier phases of the Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (2007-2016), NIAF III will provide high quality embedded and short-term expertise to Nigerian government and regulatory counterparts to support improved delivery of infrastructure services. The core team will be based in Abuja, with travel to other Nigerian states as necessary.
The Position
- The Communications and Knowledge Management Lead will be responsible for:
- Developing knowledge management and communications strategy
- Designing and developing knowledge management processes
- Developing communications implementation plan
- Stakeholder mapping and segmentation
- Tailoring different communications approaches based on different audiences segments
- Designing tailored communications templates
The Person
- 7 years’ experience in similar work, including experience managing a communications team
- Experience with DFID-funded or other large international development programmes would be an advantage
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Significant experience in strategic communications or similar role
- Experience in working with and coordinating cross-cultural teams
- Previous experience in communications and outreach in power, infrastructure, roads, PPPs or similar fields will be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to unpack and communicate complex concepts simply with a range of stakeholders in multi-cultural settings
- Demonstrated experience in programme and event management
- Ability to facilitate e-communication and web-based technologies for professional purposes
- Graphic design skills and familiarity with document management, content management and web based design would be an advantage
- Highly effective communication and high level of proficiency in written and spoken English, knowledge of local language(s) is a strong plus
- Proven ability to manage complex information and provide an information management system which has as much functionality as possible in terms of cutting up data in different ways. i.e. enabling quick on-demand access to different content and messages
- Proven ability to build a knowledge management system capable of operating in live time.
- Experience developing a communications strategy and implementation plan, and adapting these over time.
- Experience of developing and using a brand
