ABA ROLI seeks a Curriculum Mapping Specialist to offer short-term support to ABA ROLI’s judicial education program, which is assisting the National Center for Judicial Studies (NCJS) with developing a new curriculum. This is a consultant position which will require travel to Cairo, Egypt over a three month period, in addition to remote work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in collaboration with ABA ROLI Egypt Program Director and/or Country Director to ensure all deliverables are in line with program goals and objectives;
- Collaborate with the NCJS to complete review of all training courses currently offered;
- Work with the NCJS to identify and detail competencies necessary for judges;
- Design and develop curriculum in line with judicial competencies in consultation with the NCJS;
- Where appropriate, identify and conduct additional needs assessment(s) for specific courses;
- Assess and make recommendations for any additional courses that may need to be added, or re-tailored, in line with priority judicial competencies;
- Coordinate with ABA ROLI staff and Egyptian counterparts as necessary to complete the assignment on schedule in a timely manner;
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree and at least eight years of experience in curriculum mapping, course development, and adult learning;
- Experience in judicial education required;
- Ability and willingness to travel to and/or spend significant time in Cairo over a three-month period;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a governmental context and establish fruitful working relationships;
- Commitment to ABA programmatic objectives;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- International development experience preferred;
- Arabic language a plus.
