Windle Trust Kenya is a non-governmental organization in Kenya and a member of Windle Trust International Federation. The Federation comprises of Windle Trust International UK, Windle Trust Uganda, Windle Trust International Sudan, Windle Trust International South Sudan and Hugh Pilkington Charitable Trust Ethiopia. Windle Trust Kenya started its operations in 1977 to assist the refugees and the needy Kenyans.

Areas of Responsibility

The Procurement Officer is expected to add value to WTK operations through the procurement department and will be responsible for the planning and coordination of procurement services; implementing and enforcing procurement policies and regulations and taking control of procurement processes.

He/She will work with the procurement committees to ensure professional procurement practices to maximize value from externally sourced products and services.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in purchasing and supply chain management
  • Member of CIPS or KISM
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement management
  • Mastery of office software (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required
  • Sound knowledge of the public procurement and disposals act
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and procedures
  • Good interpersonal and public relationships

We are working with communities in Dadaab, Fafi, Wajir South, Turkana West, Turkana North, Dadaab Refugee Camp and Kakuma Refugee Camp on education projects.

Windle Trust Kenya wishes to recruit for the position of Special Needs Education Teachers for the Secondary Education Programme to be based in Dadaab Refugee Camp.

WTKs work is first and foremost supported by the communities that it works with in Dadaab and Kakuma Refugee camps as well as in Turkana West, Fafi and Wajir South Districts. We receive generous support from both bilateral and multilateral donors including the UNHCR,UNICEF,EU,UK-AID and DFTAD.
