Job Title: Project Manager, Adolescent Development

Contract Duration: Open ended

Location: Wakiso

Role Purpose

The Project Manager, Adolescent Development is responsible for effectively and efficiently planning, management and delivery of the Adolescent Development project components (includes both Sponsorship and grant funded projects) within the Impact Area in ways that meet both local and international Save the Children and respective donor requirements and guidelines. Reports to Sponsorship Programme Manager while working collaboratively with other staff for both Sponsorship core programmes and operations, Sponsorship Technical Working Group, Central Region Area support staff, CO Health Technical specialists particularly on ASRHR national level engagements. The role requires one to attend frequent meetings which can be online, taking actions and following through within the CO and the member office staff responsible for supporting AD programming thus calling for a lot of self-management and excellent coordination skills. The role oversees and manages both sponsorship funded and non- sponsorship funded AD components supplementing each other but as well supervising a number of staff.

Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree or higher in a health related discipline. Post graduate training in either public health, Health Systems Strengthening, Community Health, Reproductive Health, Gender etc will be of added advantage.
  • At least 5 years progressive experience in planning and implementation of school-based health programme targeting Adolescents especially on ASRH.
